TEMPO.CO, Bangkalan - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Operation and Production Director, Kunto Wibisono said Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) has approved his company's plan of development (POD) of integrated field for production improvement at West Madura Offshore (WMO) Block. "Those PODs are spot 6/12, 7, 24, 29, 44, 48," he said yesterday.
According to Kunto, these integrated fields will be built minimally. "With minimalistic concept, the cost is cheaper," he said. The production results can be connected to processing platform facility.
Having been approved, the next step is to conduct auction process for those six fields. The construction will take approximately nine months. "This project is expected to increase production on PHE WMO gas and oil in early 2015."
Current PHE WMO production is about 24,000 barrels a day. The highest production has been reached in August 2013, which was 26,600 barrels a day.
