Police: Professionals Killed Sisca Yofie

TEMPO.CO, Bandung - West Java Police Spokesperson, Sr. Com. Martinus Sitompul said the police are still searching for the mastermind behind the murder of Sisca Yofie as they did not rule out the possibility that murder was carried out by professional killers hired by somebody.

"The murder could have been planned by a mastermind who hired professional killers," Martinus said in Bandung yesterday, Aug 9. Therefore, in addition to investigating evidence found at the crime scene, the police have been questioning witnesses to collect clues.

Ten witnesses had so far been questioned for information. "We appealed her family, friends and colleagues to provide information to the police," Martinus said. The murder case has yet to find any clear indication and Martinus believed it must have been well-planned.

According to him, the murderers must have stalked her, allocated time and location and planned ways to assault and murder her, and prepared supporting weapons.

"We find difficulty searching for the murderers. They might have murder 'ability'," he said.
