TEMPO.CO, Vancouver - The broadcast of Glee's season five premiere will be delayed one week after the initial plan. The delay was due to the death of Cory Monteith, one of the stars on the series. Fox announced that Glee will be aired on this coming September 26.
The production which would initially start next week is delayed until early of August. Monteith played Finn Hudson, a star who is chosen to be the leader of Glee's club, New Directions.
Monteith died on July 13 in ahotel room due to alcohol and heroin overdose. He was 31.
To honor his death, three charity organizations namely Limelight Society Project, Virgin Unite and Chrysalis will receive charity on his name.
Cory openly spoke about his struggle to recover from drug addiction. He had voluntarily checked himself to rehabilitation center last April.
