TEMPO.CO, Liverpool - Liverpool was about to finalize the second summer transfer after Lago Aspas arrived in Merseyside with 7,7 million Poundsterling price tag from Celta Vigo. The 25 years old striker went for Liverpool from his vacation in the Caribbean to take a medical test on Tuesday, June 11.
Prior to his transfer, Aspas had a buy-out clause of 8,5 million Poundsterling. However, since Celta Vigo was relegated to Segunda, the Spanish League 2nd Divison, the club had to agree to Liverpool’s bid.
Aspas, who plays as a striker or attacking midfielder, had scored 12 goals and 7 assists for Celta in 34 games this season.
