Gold Prices Stumbles

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Upon the opening of June's second week, the price of gold bullion in Aneka Tambang's (Antam) Precious Metals Processing and Sales Business Unit fell drastically to Rp 513,000 (US$54.03) per gram from last Friday's closing price of Rp 522,000 (US$53.21) per gram.
Today, gold bullion is sold in Jakarta ranging from Rp 473,600 (US$48.28) for 1 gram-bullions to Rp 513,000 (US$52.29) for 250 gram-bullions. Gold trade in Surabaya and Makassar has a more positive opening with Rp 516,000 (US$52.60) per gram and Rp 518,000 (US$ US$52.80) per gram, respectively.
The price downfall affects gold buyback price. The price fell to Rp 436,000 (US$44.44) per gram today after being fixed at Rp 455,000 (US$46.38) per gram on last week's closing.
As of today, Antam's Precious Metals Processing and Sales Business Unit provides gold of all weights except 10 gram-bullions. Gold bullions can be directly purchased at PT Antam, Pulogadung, East Jakarta as usual. Purchasing transactions will be limited to a maximum of 150 queues.
