CIMB Niaga Wants More SEA Investors

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Director of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk Arwin Rasyid said that the CIMB Group is trying to expand it's financial market targets to Southeast Asia. His group will try to target regional investors by explaining investment opportunities they can attain in Indonesia.
"We are trying to provide deeper understanding on the investment opportunities and chances that can be utilized here," he said in the CIMB Regional Client Focus Day in JW Marriot Hotel, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
According to him, CIMB Niaga constantly tries to fulfill investors needs. One of the ways is by giving explanatory sessions about more specific investment types and financial products, which might fit every investor’s personal needs.
"As a regional banking group, we would like to facilitate cross-border issues and bring strategic investors to Indonesia's market," he said.
Arwin opined that the event will give long-term benefits for investors in networking, sharing of ideas, and even business cooperations among the participants. "The presence of this event is one of our preparations prior to the establishment of ASEAN Economic Zone 2015, where every sides need to be ready for everything," he told reporters.
Arwin disclosed that the conference will discuss Regional and Indonesia's Economic Outlook, sectors in Indonesia's markets that have the potential to develop, and obligation markets in Indonesia. "Indonesia's investors do not need to worry, because we have provided a session that will discuss the potentials of global economy," he said.
