Merpati Asked to Restructure Debts

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives' (DPR) State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Commission Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said he was not surprised by the Business Insider’s release which named Merpati Nusantara Airline as one of 20 of the world's worst airline.
Earlier, Skytrax, an airline research company has rated 2.5 star for the company which immediately put the company in the bad category. "The condition is unfit for competition," Airlangga told Tempo on Saturday, May 25.
Airlangga added that the Merpati's main task is to restructure its debts in order to be able to compete in Indonesia’s aviation industry.
