TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Elizabeth Priscillia from North Sumatra has been crowned Miss Coffee Indonesia 2013. She managed to rise above 37 other contestants from 33 provinces to be Indonesia’s next coffee ambassador.
The Miss Coffee Indonesia 2013 final was held at Royal Kuningan Hotel in Jakarta last week. Elizabeth will have the duty of promoting Indonesian coffee in the nation and overseas, replacing last year’s winner Bianca Beatrice.
In the future, winners of the Miss Coffee Indonesia pageant are hoped to be able to be coffee ambassadors for Indonesia and promote local coffee in order to push the growth of the nation’s tourism and creative economy sectors.
Elizabeth will have the task of performing duties as the Indonesian coffee ambassador and coffee agro tourism ambassador in the country and abroad. Aside from that, she will also represent Indonesia in the Miss Coffee International 2013 competition to be held in Yogyakarta from October 16 to 26.
