TEMPO.CO,Madrid – Christiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid's midfielder, is confident that the team could secure the Copa del Rey trophy this season. Madrid will be playing against its homewtown rival Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final match on May 17.
After losing to Barcelona in La Liga and failing to secure a spot in the Champions League final match, Copa del Rey is the only trophy left for grabs for Madrid.
"We are so excited about the trophy. We want to win. We know it will be a hard-fought game, facing our hometown rival," said Ronaldo. "This will be a great show. Let's hope that Real Madrid will win."
Although the final match is going to be held in Santiago Bernabeu, match officials decided to distribute tickets evenly for both club supporters, a decision that may or may not be a trouble for Madrid.
"This will not affect our ambition to win the trophy," Ronaldo insisted. "If we go out there and play how we used to play, we will win."
