New Cement Factory Will be Built in Malang

TEMPO.CO, Malang – A cement factory will be built in Malang District, East Java. Investment Board director Kukuh Banendro said that a company, PT Senopati Dirgantara Perkasa, is ready to invest Rp 3 to 4 trillion (US$308,09 to 410,78 million) for the project.
The project is considered to be a massive investment for a city like Malang. Senopati Dirgantara Perkasa is working together with foreign and domestic investors. Senopati Dirgantara Perkasa, a company that normally engages in asphalt and LPG refueling station business, will build the plant in Sumbermanjing Wetan Subdistrict.
"We're waiting for the House of Representatives' (DPR) approval about the mining area mapping," said Kukuh on Tuesday, May 14. Investors are poised and the government is committed to provide permits for the location.
