TNI Member Shot in Makassar

TEMPO.CO, Makassar –Private Andi Kristanto, a member of the Indonesian Armed Forces, was shot in front of a residential complex at Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Makassar on Friday, May 3, at around 00.30 local time.

Andi, who is a member of the 10th Cavalry Battalion at the Regional Military Command (Kodam) VII Wirabuana, suffered a gunshot wound on his right hand, and is currently being treated in Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital, Maksassar.

According to police investigation, the shooting was an outcome of a verbal argument, which ended with Pvt. Andi Kriastono being shot.

Kodam VII Wirabuana has not released any statement regarding the shooting. Spokesperson of Kodam VII, Let. Col, Hery Steve Sinaulan, was not in his office when reporters demanded confirmation. He also did not answer any calls. IRFAN ABDUL GANI
