TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Two weeks ago, Agus Martowardoyo, a former Finance Minister, received his dismissal letter from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Mayflower Hotel, Connecticut Avenue, Washington DC a couple of hours before attending the G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor Assembly G-20, forcing him to hold a meeting.

The impromptu meeting was attended by Bambang Brodjonegoro, the Head of Finance Minister Fiscal Policy Department, and some staffs. Agus then delegated his responsibility to attend the G-20 meeting to Bambang, who represented Indonesia along with Darmin Nasution, Bank Indonesia Governor, and Armida S. Alisjahbana, National Development Planning Minister.

Agus dismissal was stated in Presidential Decree No. 44/M/2013, and was followed immideately by the issueance of Presidential Decree No. 45/M/2013 that appoints Hatta Rajasa, former Economy Coordination Minister, as the Finance Minister task administrator.

Agus claimed that he fully understands the sudden dismissal and said that he is ready to help Hatta.
