TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jefry Al Buchori, a famous ustad (muslim religious leader) was killed in a motorcycle accident at Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. The news was confirmed by his brother, Fajar Sidik, to reporters, Friday at dawn.

Ustad passed away in Pondok Indah at 02.00 am Western Indonesian Time,” he said.

Jefry was driving a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he lost control and hit a palm tree on the side of the street. The accident occured at 01.00 pm. He was immediately brought to a hospital, the doctor declared that he had died when he arrived.

Jefry's body was brought to a funeral home in Bintaro, where many of his followers came to pray for him.
