Perum Navigasi Takes Up Rp 97 Billion
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta: The Indonesian Air Navigation Services Corporation (Perum Navigasi/PPNPI), planned to be established in the third week of this month, is given an initial capital of Rp 97.95 billion in the form of government-owned integrated navigation equipment. The establishment is a mandate in Aviation Law No.1/2009. Until today, the management of air traffic controller (ATC) has been done separately, and thus accused of being one of the causes of low level of flight safety in the country. Earlier, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan ensured that Perum Navigasi would be unveiled on January 16. Ichwanul Idris, Director of Air Navigation at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, was appointed as President Director of the new corporation. Ichwanul will be head of seven directors. "I see him as good at his job, and is an experts. He will also be in charge of appointing his team members," he said yesterday. MARTHA THERTINA | ANANDA PUTRI | FERY FIRMANSYAH
