ASDP Ketapang Adds Ferries to Reduce Queues
TEMPO Interactive, Banyuwangi:State ferry and water transportation company Angkutan Sungai Danau dan Penyeberangan (ASDP) Ketapang in Banyuwangi, East Java, will dispatch additional three ferries to reduce the long queue of vehicles crossing from Java to Bali. ASDP Ketapang operational manager Saharuddin Kotto said the three ferries will be used at the landing craft marine dock to accommodate freight cars. “So, there will be a total of 33 ferries in operation,” said Saharuddin on Monday, December 24. In addition to dispatching more ferries, the ASDP will also adjust the itinerary with ships now leaving every 12 instead of 15 minutes. Furthermore, the company will also utilize all six docks.
