Lampung Police Destroy Rp10-Billion Worth of Drugs
TEMPO Interactive, Bandar Lampung:Lampung Police on Friday, December 21, destroyed various drugs worth more than Rp10 billion at Korpri Ground, Bandar Lampung. The drugs were collected throughout 2012 and included 4.6 tons of dried cannabis, 1.97 kilograms of methamphetamine and 7,940 ecstasy pills.
“Most of the drugs came from South Lampung precinct operations, which seized drugs at the gate of Bakauheni Port,” said Lampung Police chief Brig. Gen. Heru Winarko.
The drug incineration is an official procedure conducted by the police after the case investigation is completed. In July, the police also destroyed Rp1.1-trillion worth of drugs in Jakarta.
