Maria Sharapova Visits Borobudur and Mojo Island
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Beautiful Russian tennis player, Maria Yuryevna Sharapova, recently visited Indonesia. Her vacation in the Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java was posted on her personal Facebook page.
On Nov. 16, the 25-year-old tennis player wrote: "The Buddha sign of No Fear at the Borobudur temple ..."
Prior to Borobodur, Sharapova visited Mojo Island, in the northern area of Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara, arriving there on Nov. 4.
The four-time grand slam winner was fascinated by the view of the sun rising on the island which only has six villages. "Sunrise at 5:15 am, one of the best I've ever seen."
The world’s number two tennis player also admired the life in the Moyo Island village. "Sometimes it is the simple things in life that matter. The children in this village make me laugh, for they were looking at me and wondering: who are you and where did you get that blonde hair," Sharapova wrote on Nov. 7.
After a week on Mojo Island, Sharapova went to Borobudur on Nov. 11.
