TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Coordinator of advocacy for the Joko Widodo and Basuki campaign team, Sira Prayuda, is planning to report alleged campaign misconduct to the Jakarta Elections Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu). The violations allegedly occurred in the second round campaign period. “The report will be filed in regard to some misconduct during the campaign,” said coordinator of communication and media for Joko Widodo and Basuki, Budi Purnomo Karjodihardjo, in a press release on Wednesday, September 19. Complaints that will be filed to the supervisory committee include the distribution of pamphlets containing offensive remarks regarding ethnicity, religion, race and group; the involvement of a district leader during the quiet period and political campaigning in schools supporting incumbent candidates Fauzi Bowo and Nachrowi Ramli. “The pro-Fauzi-Nachrowi campaign has been going on past Friday, September 15,” Budi added.
