KPK Searches Andi Mallarangeng’s Office
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched the office of Youth and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng on Thursday morning in connection to the Hambalang sports center graft case. A Tempo source at the Ministry claims to have seen the investigators enter each office in the five-story Kemenpora building. The first office to be searched was that of Deddy Kusnidar, head of finance and household. "Laptops, computers, documents, they were all taken away," the source said. Deddy has been named the first suspect in the case. While the search was underway, the minister was attending a cabinet meeting at the State Palace. His secretary Yuli Mumpuni Windarso did not respond when asked for confirmation. KPK deputy chair Bambang Widjojanto confirmed the KPK simultaneously raided seven places on Thursday. Besides Kemenpora, investigators also visited PT Adhi Karya and PT Wijaya Karya – Hambalang project contractors – and the Public Works Office in East Jakarta. RUSMAN PARAQBUEQ
