Hartati Murdaya May Face KPK Interrogation in Future
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to interrogate PT Hardaya Inti Plantation owner, Indonesian tycoon Hartati Murdaya, as a witness in the alleged bribery case linked to Buol Regent Amran Batalipu. KPK spokesman Johan Budi SP said the KPK had not decided the time to examine the member of the Board of Advisories of the Democrat Party. "KPK has not summoned the person in question (Hartati)," Johan said after a seminar at Universitas Mercu Buana, Saturday, July 7, 2012. According to Johan, Hartati has been banned from travelling abroad for six months so that KPK could summon her to give information at any time. "So that at any time the person in question needs to be questioend she is not abroad," said Johan. The Buol Regent case began when he was caught red-handed by KPK Tuesday, June 26, 2012. The anti-graft commission arrested an employee of Hartati Murdaya’s PT Hardaya Inti Plantation called Yani Ansori. KPK also arrested Gondo Sudjono, an employee of the same company. Both allegedly bribed Buol Regent, Amran Batalipu. Amran escaped arrest because his supporters blocked theinvestigators. KPK in the end had to forcibly pick him up on Friday, July 6, 2012. SUNDARI
