Bengkulu Struggles to Restrict Subsidized Fuel
TEMPO Interactive, Bengkulu:The Bengkulu provincial government says the administration is struggling to implement restrictions on the use of subsidized fuel within a short period because some regencies do not have public gas stations (SPBU) equipped with Pertamax fuel refueling stations. “Lebong and Kaur regencies, for example, don’t have Pertamax [refueling pumps]. We worry that restrictions of subsidized fuel usage will be stalled in those areas,” said executive-governor Junaidi Hamzah on Wednesday. Junaidi said that there was only one refueling station in Kaur regency. In such conditions, according to Junaidi, Pertamina’s policy to separate gas stations that provide subsidized and non-subsidized diesel fuel will be difficult to implement. PHESI ESTER JULIKAWATI
