Gudang Garam To Launch Helicopter Charter Business
TEMPO Interactive, Kediri:Tobacco company Gudang Garam has officially announced its air transportation business plans under the flag of Surya Air. Utilizing three of the company’s helicopters, Surya Air will offer non-scheduled commercial transportation or charter services.
The announcement was made by Gudang Garam director Heru Budiman during the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting at the Grand Surya Hotel in Kediri on Wednesday.
Heru said that Surya Air was established in October 2010 by filing permits at the Transportation Ministry. After the flight permits and air operator certificates were issued, the company has been in operational mode since the first quarter of 2011.
