KPK Arrests Three in Buol
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Antigraft Commission (KPK) arrested three people over bribery suspicions in Buol, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday evening, June 27. The three black bags filled with money were also seized.
They were brought to the investigation room when reporters tried to get comments from them. The first man was around 30 years old. He wore glasses and a blue shirt. He did not say anything and just covered his face. The rest were older, about 50 years old. Both of them did not give any comments either.
The bribery took place on June 26. A KPK spokesman Priharsa Nugraha refused to reveal the identity of the three men. “I cannot provide you the details for now.” One day before, the KPK arrested a man named Ansori. He was a businessman in palm oil industry in Boul. The KPK suspected him conducting bribery while trying to get permits for clearing a palm oil plantation. Some money was confiscated. A regent in the area, Amran Batalipu, was probably involved in this case. He disappeared before KPK found him. “We are still looking for him,” said KPK Deputy Chairman Busyro Muqoddas.
