TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The fraction of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) made a quip regarding Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo. They brought this up when delivering their view at a plenary meeting at Jakarta City Council (DPRD). They said they agreed with the governor to keep Jakarta peaceful during the campaign for gubernatorial election. “But it will be much better if there is no regional officials taking side with any candidates,” said the fraction’s member Dwi Rio Sambodo, on Wednesday, June 27. The audience laughed to hear this but the governor just smiled. PDIP nominated Joko Widodo for the next Jakarta Governor. He has been asking government employees to be neutral for the election. M.
