Wika to Open New Office in Myanmar, Says Minister Dahlan
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Dahlan Iskan says that contractor Wijaya Karya (Wika) will be opening an office in Myanmar through the Indonesia Incorporated program. “Wika will open an office there [Myanmar],” confirmed Dahlan Iskan at the Financial Comptroller building on Tuesday. Indonesia Incorporated is an idea to establish synergy between governmental sectors and domestic company sectors, including SOEs and private companies. Dahlan said Wika would seek opportunities for doing business in the country. The state enterprise will rent a building and once an opportunity is available, the contractor will work with other SOEs to engage in projects. State bank BNI and oil company Pertamina are expected to follow a similar path. SUNDARI
