TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Low-cost carrier AirAsia is planning to open a regional office in Jakarta named AirAsia Asean. AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said that his company would begin constructing the AirAsia Asean office in early July and would focus on its Jakarta regional office. “In order to publicize AirAsia Asean with a Jakarta representative office, in the future, the regional team will provide strategies for AirAsia,” said Fernandes in a written statement received by Tempo on Tuesday. Fernandes added that the establishment of AirAsia Asean regional office in Jakarta would allow more Indonesian to fly for less.
