Nazaruddin's Company Pays for Neneng's Groceries
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Yulianis, one of the directors at Nazaruddin's company, recalled the first time she came to PT Anugrah Nusantara in September 2008. She was immediately told to organize the company's chaotic financial reports. The incoming and outgoing monies and bookkeeping of the former Democrats treasurer was not accurately noted. "The spending [record] is slovenly," said Yulianis to Tempo last Thursday. Applying for the position of staff member of PT Anugrah's financial section, Yulianis ended up being tasked to fix all the financial reports of the company-later called Group Permai, once the offices of this group moved to Permai Tower. In the 2006 and 2007 financial reports, Yulianis detected much spending on household necessities. "There were purchases of red peppers, tomatoes and even laundry," she said. As she went shopping at a traditional market, the documentary proof of purchases was only torn pieces of paper, not receipts. ANTONS
