Robbers of 10Kg Gold Captured At Cipularang Toll
TEMPO Interactive, Bandung:Police on Monday busted four persons suspected of having robbed 10 kilograms of gold at Cadas Pangeran in Sumedang. The robbery took place in the morning at 10:00 hrs yesterday. "Based on information from the Purwakarta police chief, the arrest was made at Kilometer 82, Lane B, Bandung-Jakarta," said West Java Police spokesman Snr. Pol. Comr. Martinus Sitompul to Tempo yesterday.
A police team busted the four individuals, S, A,H, and S. "The result of preliminary investigation indicates that the perpetrators using two cars, Avanza and Xenis, drove the victims' car into a corner who were sending gold jewellery to Cirebon and Central Java," said Martinus.
The three victims who were carrying the gold are Eko, Oki and Bejo. The robbers pointed a gun and machete at the victims and took the victims toward Cipularang heading for Jakarta. "The victims were tied and blindfolded," reported Martinus.
