Home Minister Sued for Naming Garut Deputy-Regent
TEMPO Interactive, Serang:Home Minister Gamawan Fauzi has been reported to the Bandung State Administrative Court (PTUN) in West Java by a candidate of the Garut deputy-regent, Haryono. The lawsuit was filed in regard to the inauguration of Agus Hamdani as Garut deputy-regent to substitute Diky Candra. “The Home Minister’s policy violates the law,” said Haryono on Thursday.
Haryono added that prior to filing the charges, he had already filed an administrational review or objection to the Home Minister. Haryono’s last objection was last sent on June 5. However, there was no response from the Home Ministry.
In addition to the Home Minister, charges were also filed against West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, Garut Regent Aceng HM Fikri and Garut Regional Representative Council (DPRD) chairman Ahmad Badjuri.
