SBY Hints Anas Should Quit Democrat Party
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Chairman of Democrat Party Board of Patrons Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has hinted that Party Chairman Anas Urbaningrum should relinquish his position. In his 20-minute speech, Yudhoyono reiterated a significant drop in the party's popularity in the wake of several cadres' involvement in various corruption cases.
Yudhoyono's statement was thunderously applauded by 600 participants of the Forum get-together at Sahid Hotel's Puri Agung Convention Hall. "We should have the courage to take a dramatic action," he said.
Yudhoyono called on those present on the occasion to support the strategic measures which he would take in order to restore the party's image. "I say we have to reorganize ourselves by taking the right actions," declared SBY.
