Pulogebang Terminal to Begin Operation in Late June
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Pulogebang terminal has been scheduled for operation in the third week of June. Udar Pristono, Jakarta Transportation Board chairman, said the terminal construction was 80 percent complete. “The inauguration will be held the third week of June,” said Pristiono, contacted Friday. The project, totaling Rp448 billion, will be finished by December this year. The funds for build the terminal were drawn from the regional budget, confirmed Pristiono. The terminal will also enable the Transjakarta bus service serving corridor XI to start taking passengers to Pulogebang terminal. So far, the Transjakarta corridor XI service, which was designed to take passengers between Kampung Melayu and Pulogebang, only operates to as far as the bus stop located at the East Jakarta Administrative Mayor’s office. The bus then makes a turn under the Pulogebang flyover. ANGGRITA DESYAN
