Bank Mandiri ATM Revenues Hit Rp30 Billion Each Month
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Bank Mandiri has set a target of Rp30 billion in revenue from the bank’s automated teller machines each month. The projection was obtained by calculating the income of between Rp3 million and Rp3.1 million from each ATM every month. “Multiply [the income] by around 10,000,” said Bank Mandiri micro and retail banking director Budi Gunadi Sadikin in Jakarta on Monday. Budi added that the revenues of Rp3 million from each ATM were gained after Mandiri applied ATM interconnectivity with other banks. Prior to the interconnection, each Bank Mandiri ATM was only able to generate between Rp2.5 million and Rp3 million in income. The 10,000 figure refers the number of ATMs owned by Bank Mandiri. The state-owned bank currently has 10,093 ATMs and is expecting to reach 10,500 units by the end of this year. NUR ALFIYAH
