Traffic Reversal Policy for Mampang and Kuningan Continues
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The reversal of traffic flow from the Mampang and Kuningan junctions, South Jakarta, is to be continued. "The people have begun to understand this system," said Comr. Nurul Megawati, Head of Jakarta Traffic Police Education Department, Friday, June 1, 2012. Last week, the police expected this system to unravel traffic congestion by 70 percent. "So far the traffic jams have been reduced by 30 percent," she said. This traffic system at Mampang and Kuningan starts from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. since Monday, May 28, 2012. Traffic from the Semangi direction toward Pancoran was closed at Kuningan traffic light. Private vehicles from Kuningan toward Pancoran are redirected to the Kuningan flyover. Only TransJakarta buses pass over the roads below. This test-trial system lasts a week from Monday to Friday. The three-in-one system remains in force. SATWIKA MOVEMENTI
