Hundreds of Lady Gaga's Indonesian Fans ‘Invade’ Singapore
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Following the canceled Lady Gaga concert in Jakarta, hundreds of Indonesian Gaga fans descended upon Singapore to watch Mother Monster in the country’s Indoor Stadium on Thursday, May 31, 2012. "Maybe hundreds of them (Indonesian spectators). Three of my friends left this afternoon," said Venus from Jakarta in Singapore Thursday. Rhesya Agustine, a Tempo contributor, left for Singapore Wednesday night, May 30, 2012. "I departed with five friends by Valuair," said Rhesya upon arrival in Singapore. Actually Indonesia's Little Monsters did not have to fly to Singapore to see their idols following rejection of Lady Gaga by Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Indonesian Council of Muslic Clerics (MUI), several political parties and government officials. As a matter of fact, in the end Lady Gaga was allowed to perform in Jakarta. Unfortunately Gaga crossed Jakarta off the list of her tour plans due to security reasons. Gaga refused to be told what to do by religious groups in her stage actions. CORNILA DESYANA
