99.5% High School Students Pass National Exams
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:A total 99.5% of high school students and madrasah aliyah or Islamic high school students have passed the national exams. Minister of Education and Culture M. Nuh said that the graduation rates this year were higher than last year.
“There is an increase in terms of rates of graduation,” said M. Nuh at the Ministry of Education and Culture office in Jakarta on Thursday.
The ministry’s data revealed that this year 1.52 million high school and Islamic high school students participated in the national exams. A total 7,500 failed the exams. Last year, the graduation rates were slightly lower at 99.2%.
