Mazda Launches CX-5
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Mazda Motor Indonesia has officially launched a compact crossover SUV series, the Mazda CX-5, in Indonesia. There were two variants offered in the new series: sports and touring. The company expects the new additions will serve as a backbone for Mazda’s sales in Indonesia following its earlier products, the Mazda 2 and BT-50. “Indonesia is the second-largest market in Southeast Asia,” said Masahiro Moro, Mazda Motor Corporation’s executive officer for global sales and marketing, in Jakarta on Thursday. Mazda CX-5 is the first generation to adopt Skyactiv technology, which focuses on design, functionality and safety. The technology offers four added values: strength and agility when driving, comfort on the road, dynamism and maximization of space, and safety and eco-friendliness. To reach 100 kilometers, the vehicle requires 6.9 liters with carbon emissions of 161 grams per kilometer. I WAYAN AGUS PURNOMO
