Jimac Perkasa to Build a Rp 500 Billion Warehouse
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:PT Jimac Perkasa via distributor Sany Heavy Industries Co (China) will build a heavy equipment warehouse in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. "The construction is expected to cost an initial investment of Rp 500 billion," said Chairman Jimac Perkasa Benny Kurniajaya at Sany Heavy Industries Co (China)'s Heavy Equipment Construction Exhibition in Kemayoran, Jakarta on May 5, 2012. Benny said the warehouse is aimed to support marketing activities for Sany's equipment. He said the government is currently intensifying infrastructure construction through Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development Master Plan (MP3EI). In this regard, he is confident that heavy equipment sales will go up especially in infrastructure and plantation sectors. The construction of the warehouse which measures 15,000 mxm will begin in 2013 and is expected to be completed in 2015, Benny said. "We are in the land clearing phase, he added. Benny also mentioned that Jimac is currently undertaking a similar project in Cilincing, North Jakarta Utara. The 2.000 mxm warehouse, to be completed in the next three months, consumed US$ 2 million. PT Jimac Perkasa, a subsidiary of PT Jakarta International Machinery Centre (Jimac), was appointed official dealer for Sany Group's heavy equipment products for Indonesia, which include, among others, Truck Crane, Mixer Truck, Concrete Pump, Motor Grader, Vibratory Roller, Tandem Roller, Drilling Rig, Reach Stacker and Empty Container Handler.
