Hambalang Case in Anas’s Way
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Abraham Samad says the investigation into alleged graft practices during the construction of Bukit Hambalang Stadium in Sentul, West Java, is developing rapidly.
“It [the investigation] continues to progress,” said Abraham at the KPK building in Jakarta on Monday evening. Abraham added that more information had been obtained into the Rp1.2-trillion alleged graft case. “The development will set the direction [for the investigation],” said Abraham.
Abraham also confirmed there were indications that Democrat Party chairman Anas Urbaningrum was involved in the case. However, Abraham refused to provide details. “If BW [KPK deputy-chairman Bambang Widjojanto] said so, then it’s true.”
Bambang previously claimed the KPK had acquired information from DPR member Ignatius Mulyono that Anas assisted with the Hambalang land certificate ‘arrangements.’ The land in question covers a 3.2-hectare area.
