Mandala Flies Again
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Mandala Airlines will operate again after it is administered by new management the Saratoga Group and Tiger Airways. The airline will offer the Jakarta-Medan and Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur routes. According to a press release received by Tempo, Mandala will begin its first flights on April 5 on the Jakarta-Medan route. Mandala Airlines’ public relations head, Astriana M. Ekasari, said that Mandala offered low cost flights. Mandala is expected to be an alternative for the public, particularly Indonesian tourists, she said. “We’re using new the Armada, which is the Airbus A-320, which gives flight comfort at a cost starting from Rp329,000,” she said. Nevertheless, she said, Mandala would still prioritize security. “We focus on safety, security and promptness,” she said.
