KPUD Chairman Vows to Stay Neutral
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Juri Ardiantoro, chairman if the Jakarta Regional General Elections Commission (KPUD), has vowed to execute a neutral and professional election. “We want to repeat the success of the 2007 Jakarta gubernatorial race which went peacefully,” said Juri in his speech during the signing of an MoU between the KPUD, the Jakarta General Elections Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu), the Jakarta Police, and the General Elections Law Enforcement Team (Gakkumdu), on Thursday. The related parties have committed to creating and realizing a secure and conducive general election. Also present at the signing ceremony – held at the Jakarta Police HQ - were Jakarta Police Deputy Chief Brig. Gen. Suhardi Alius, Panwaslu Chairman Ramdansyah, Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office Chief Didik Darmanto, and the Jakarta City Secretary Fadjar Panjaitan.
