Pursue Oil and Gas Taxes, says DPR member
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:House of Representatives’ (DPR) Finance and Banking Commission member Nusron Wahid, says that tax collected from oil and gas companies in Indonesia will increase tax revenue. “It’s been difficult to reach 15 percent while other countries have reached an average 16 – 17 percent,” he said yesterday. He said if the tax ratio could reach 16 percent, the state budget could increase by at least Rp270 trillion. “That way we don’t need to increase the fuel price and reduce fuel subsidies,” he said.
