Orangutan Killers Arrested in Kalimantan
TEMPO Interactive, SAMARINDA:East Kutai Police in East Kalimantan have arrested three orangutan killers in PT Prima Citra Selaras’ palm oil plantation area. Local criminal investigation division head, Comm. Sugeng Subagyo, said the three were being detained for murder. The police have seized a chopping knife they allegedly used to kill the animals. The orangutans were allegedly killed by four men. Three of them are Tajar (60), an employee at PT PCS; Tulil (56), PT PCS’ plantation head; and Rahman (57), PT PCS’ employee. Another suspect, Ijul, is still being pursued. FIRMAN HIDAYAT
