Klaten Terrorists Sentenced to Six Years
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Six people faces charges of terrorism in Klaten, Central Java, were found guilty and sentenced to a maximum of 6 years in years in prison yesterday. Roki Aprisdianto (29), Agung Jati Santoso (21), Tri Budi Santoso (20), Nugroho Budi Santoso (19), Yuda Anggoro (19) and Joko Lelono (18) violated chapter 15 of the Terrorism Eradication Law for planning several bombings in Klaten between December 2009 and January 2011. The sentence from the Central Jakarta District Court was lighter than the prosecutor’s demand of eight years for Roki, who was the mastermind, and seven years for the other five accused because they behaved well during trial and are still young. The defense lawyers said they would consider an appeal. RIKY FERDIANTO
