Sutan Challenges Ridwan to Expose Energy Ministry Project Scandal
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Sutan Bhatoegana, a member of the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Energy Commission, has challenged graft defendant Ridwan Sanjaya to unravel an alleged graft scandal involving the solar home system project. Sutan said that he was not involved in the Rp 526 billion project offered by the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
“Expose [the project] if you have evidence,” said Sutan, contacted on Monday. “Me and my lawyers have even asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to open the case involving Ridwan.”
Ridwan has accused Sutan, a DPR member from the Democrat Party, of playing a role in the 2009 ministry project. Ridwan was the commitment maker at that time. During trial at the Anti-Graft Court (Tipikor), Ridwan has also implicated some DPR members who included their companies to win project tender.
