Performance-Based Budgeting Scheduled to be Implemented in 2012
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo said the government is ready to implement performance-based national budgeting and planning system. The maximum use of state expenditures will be fully effective in 2012. “This is one of the strategies to be fully implemented in order to achieve better development goals,” said Agus in a World Bank international seminar entitled “Linking Performance Evaluation to Budgeting” in Jakarta on Monday. Agus believes the budgeting policy system needs to be optimized to ensure efficiency and mitigate the negative impact of the global crisis in Indonesia. MARTHA THERTINA
