The Fed Gelar Rapat Dadakan
TEMPO Interaktif, Washington :Bank Sentral Amerika, The Ferderal Reserve menggelar rapat dadakan di New York, Jumat (12/9) malam waktu setempat. Rapat yang dihadiri para pembuat kebijakan tertinggi di Washington dan institusi keuangan itu, membahas masa depan Lehman Brothers.
Menurut berita yang dilansir kantor berita Associated Press, Sabtu (13/9) waktu Indonesia, rapat tersebut dihadiri oleh Sekretaris Departemen Keuangan Henry Paulson itu digelar di kantor Presiden Bank Federal New York Timothy Geithner. Juru bicara The Fed Michelle Smith membenarkan pertemuan itu.
Namun Smith menolak untuk merinci institusi keuangan yang ikut serta dalam pertemuan ataupun kesepakatan yang telah dicapai untuk mengatasi krisis yang tengah dialami Lehman Brothers.
