Proyek Jatigede Dimulai
TEMPO Interaktif, Sumedang: Proyek waduk Jatigede di Sumedang, Jawa Barat, akhirnya dimulai setelah tertunda sejak 1970-an karena pembebasan lahan. Peletakkan batu pertama (ground breaking) dilakukan pekan ini.
"Uang dan kontrak sudah ada, (harus) kerja full," kata Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Djoko Kirmanto di lokasi proyek. Ia menerangkan, pemerintah telah meneken kredit US$ 239,57 juta dengan Pemerintah Cina yang diwakili Bank Ekspor Impor Cina. "Pimpinan proyek dan kontraktor juga sudah teken kontrak."
Menurut Djoko, pembebasan lahan pun sudah beres. Menjelang kedatangan alat-alat berat impor dari Cina kontraktor telah membuat jalan akses.
