TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan expressed his disappointmnet towards all agency heads for the complaint about decision making.

"Not specific to one or two people. In general," said Anies at Borobudur Hotel, Central Jakarta on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Anies asked all agency heads to be able to make the initiative to make decisions without waiting for the governor.

According to Anies, the centralized decision making in the governor has been entrenched within the Jakarta provincial administration. "From the document traffic for many years, the tradition is indeed centralized in the governor," said Anies.

Anies shared his experience while serving as Minister of Education. He explained that the decision could be determined by leaders at each level, such as directors and heads of divisions. Anies also confirmed that he would look for agency heads that dared to make decisions and be competent in carrying out their duties.

Head of the Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency Andri Yansyah, said that the agency heads should not add burden to the governor.

According to Andri, the regional work unit (SKPD) should work on technical matters, from the process, to determining the final decision. "Do not burden everything to the governor. There is SKPD," Andri said when contacted on Wednesday, December 5.
