TEMPO.CO, South Nias - Seven people were buried by a landslide that hit a house in Sukamaju Mohili village, South Nias district, North Sumatra province, on Saturday morning.
One of the seven people was found dead, the coordinator of the National Search and Rescue (SAR) Office in Nias, Tonggor Gultom said.
He said SAR workers, along with local disaster mitigation office, police and military personnel and local residents were in the process of searching for the six other victims.
"Our personnel will arrive in the scene only this evening because it is far from here and is difficult to reach," he said.
The landslide was triggered by incessant rains in the past few days.
