TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police have arrested an online ride-hailing motorcycle driver under suspicions of dealing marijuana. The driver, DS (28), was arrested at his home in Karang Tengah, Tangerang City.
The police said that the suspect was found to have marijuana stashed at his home.
"He does the transactions from home," Kembangan Police Chief Comr. Egman Adnan said in a written statement on Thursday, November 8.
Head of Kembangan Iptu Criminal Police Resort Unit, First Inspector Dimitri Mahendra, said the police raided DS' home to follow up on public information. From DS's home, the police confiscated five packets and one joint of marijuana.
"The total weight is 103.62 grams," Dimitri said.
To the police, DS admitted that he sold marijuana to make extra money because his income as an online ojek driver is not enough to cover for his daily needs.
